In the spirit of service and sisterhood, the Detroit Metro Chapters are proud to present the 118th Founders’ Day Joint Service Project: Comfort and Care Connection for Seniors.
This service event will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM at:
University YES Academy 14669 Curtis Street Detroit, MI 48235
Our collective goal is to gather 12,000 essential care items to support seniors throughout Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties. These supplies play an important role in protecting the health, dignity, and daily comfort of seniors in need. Access to proper incontinence and protective care items helps prevent infections, reduces financial burdens on families, and supports caregivers who care for our aging community.
As part of this initiative, we ask each soror to contribute by donating one or more of the following items:
Boxes of protective underwear (Small, Medium, Large — no tape-ons or tabs)
Boxes of gloves
Boxes of blue bed pads
As an X-Large Chapter (300+ members), our goal is to collect 50 or more boxes of each item.
Please bring your donated items directly to the donation site on March 14 and check in with a Soror from the Uplift Our Community Committee so that Lambda Pi Omega’s contributions can be properly tracked.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and continued commitment to service. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors across our community.
