With great pleasure, I welcome you to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Lambda Pi Omega Chapter. I am humbled to serve alongside our chapter president, Kelly James, to lead with inclusiveness, sisterliness, care, and compassion.  We are dedicated to delivering engaging and results-oriented programs that positively impact the lives and generations of families in the Detroit community. 

Service and sisterhood have been the cornerstone of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated^® since 1908. With the theme Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, under the leadership of our International President & CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, our 2022-2026 International programs seek to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood.  This administration addresses six initiatives. 

Strengthen Our Sisterhood serves as the "Foundation Initiative" as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission. 

The remaining five initiatives serve as the "Program Initiatives":

We will work collaboratively to maximize our outreach on progressive endeavors and consistently produce leaders who will advance our credo of service. We partner with the Pearls of Promise Foundation, Inc., our non-profit partner, to execute many of our programs.  We actively seek opportunities to engage with the community and collaborate with local and national community non-profit and for-profit partners to deliver on our mission of being of service to all mankind.
